Another Recital.
Another enjoyable recital was given
Thursday night of Inst week at the
home of .ludgtfnud Mrs. It. II Ioof-
bournnv by the class of Miss Laura
Mackey. The recitals are tho means
of furnishing a pleasant overling's en-
tainment for tho class and some of
their friends nnd also a great help to
thoso who will appear later in a public
recital.

Grandma Downing Passes
Away
Death again entered our peaceful
little city lat vook and took from It
an aged and highly respected resident
Mrs Downing mother of Mrs D M.
Kilo passed from this life to her
Heavenly home Saturday evening
April 23d 1010 at about 8 o'clock
She had been in poor health for a long
timo nnd was in a weakened condition
novor being entirely free from pain
for long at a timo but her last Illness
was brief and was not attended will
great sulT.-ring. Death camo as the
result of old ago and its attendant
ailments.
After a long busy and usofnl life she
died as she had lived honored trusted
and loved . by all. While she lived
slio reared her own monument in the
hearts of all who know her. Her life
wn completed if work nil done and
well done constitutes completion She
was quiet and unassuming but she
went diligently about her duty and no
one had aught to say nguinst her She
was a devout member of tho .Method-
ist church and her Christian lifo was
beautiful from Its beginning to its
close and through nil the trials and
sorrows site met in tho way her faith
in Gi.d never wavered But with all
her labor and Christiun service the
time came for her to go to hor reward
and today a little spot in the home
cemetery mado sacred to relatives
nnd friends nnd another grave hides
from their sight all that was mortal of
a true nnd unhle woman.
The remains were taken tn tin old
home at Little River Kalians where
interment will be made besido the
husband who preceded her to the Bet-
ter Lund some years ago Mr and
Mrs D. M Kile and the two sons
who camo to attend thoir mother's
d-ath bed accompanied tho remnlns.
The sympnthy of all is extended to tho
sorrowing ones in their berenvoment.

entertained tho members of Class No.
2 of thoChristinn Bible School Friday
evening of last week at their palatial
home.
