Up till a few days ago Lon hnd been a
fugitive from justice for (I or 7 years

the west for 11 number of years ho de
eided to give up and take his medicine
so voluntarily surrendered to El Paso
Texas authorities a few days ago and
tli.- Kansas officials went down and
brought him back. Lou stated to a
Hk.".am representative that lie would
enter a plea of guilty and throw him-
self upon the mercy of the court hop-
ing thereby to get the minimum sen-
tence. There are many worse men in
tho world than Ford who is still
ygung in years aud it is to be hoped
that lie will make a man of himself
after he does th.iu for past violations
of tho law. Guymon Herald.
We should remark Lon Ford is well
knpwn (perhaps too well known) to
many Beaver people. But after all
Lou had some redeeming features ono
of which was a conscience which no
doubt led him to surrender himself to
answer for his lawlessness.
