Description:

Men gathering around a tangled private plane crashed near a Sinclair Station. Photograph taken for a newspaper owned by the Oklahoma Publishing Company. Caption: "LUCK WAS WITH THREE MEN who were aboard this airplane, when it was wrecked at Tulakes airport. Engine failure on takeoff was blamed for the mishap. Charles B. Pierce, pilot of the plane, a Beech Bonanza owned by a Lafayette, La., contractor, tried to return to the airport. The plane reached a runway but went through a fence, and a guy wire on a power pole sheared off a wing. Pilot and two passengers walked away."
