- Content Description: Photograph taken for a newspaper owned by the Oklahoma Publishing Company. Caption: "This Was a Cadillac Before It Hit a 'Safety Island,' Killing Its Driver. This is what was left of a 1951 Cadillac after it hit a "safety" island early Monday at SE 29 and Eastern. The driver, Urban C. Hawkins, 42, chief petty officer at the Norman navy base, was thrown out of the car and killed to become Oklahoma City's first traffic fatality in 99 days."
