CITIZEN DEAD
Will be Rememhw.^J by Many
Old Resident
James Albert McLemore whose
death was briefly chronicled in
the Wednesday Standard, was
born December 27th at Water
Valley, Miss, where his youth
was spent. His father's early
death threw a heavy responcibil-
ity upon him, but he assumed it
eheerfullly. VYhen his duties
were less exacting he finished
his education by attending the
Boonesville (Ark.) Academy and
later took a business course at
Louisville, Ky. From Louisville
Mr. McLemoore went to Pauls
Valley, Indian Territory, to be
come bookkeeper for the Jas
Rennie mercantile establishment
and was later employed in the
John A. Bradley, and the J. C.
Grant stores, in the same place.
By his strict integrity and ap-
plication advance was certain,
so that in the early '90's he be-
came the proprietor of a general
store which he conducted until
1904, when he disposed of the
business and came to the Concho
country.
Oh June 1th 1X93, Mr. McLe-
more married Miss Anna M.
Loomis, of Revera, Mo. To them
were born three children, Elbert
and Lee, who with their mother
survive him. and a daughter,
Marie, who died in infancy.
His friends were many, and all
who knew him admired him for
his many noble qualities, one of
ihe most prominent being his
absolute honesty i.i business |San
