happily married at the Moth-
jodist church in Frisco, Texas,
yesterday.
Rev. Sneed has been pastor
of the Presbyterian churches
at Lexington and Noble for
the past four month, and is
well and favorably liked by
all who know him.
The bride is the beautiful
and accomplished daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Higginbo-
tham and has a host of friends.
They departed in the evening
for New York, where they
will be at home September 1st.
The Journal wishes them a
long and prosperous wedded

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bradford, of
the Chickasaw, who have been in the
city for the past ten days, with th ir
infant, for treatment, have ret,unit d
home. The baby having greatly im-
proved,

Jep Cambron's baby died last Friday
night. The bereaved ones have the
sympathy of the entire community.
The meeting at Liberty has been
postponed until the 1st Sunday in Sep-
tember. Rev. Herrington will assist
in the meetiag.
E. E. Lloyd, J. A. Jarnigan, G. M,
Burnett and M Jordan have returned
from Konawa, I. T., where they have
been prospecting for the past week.

Tent Meeting.
T h e protracted meeting
which has been in progress in
the city since the 5th, closed
Sunday night. Several con-
fessions were made during the
meeting.
Base Ball at Guthrie.
Mrs. Eserline James was
born January 25, ISM, in Mon-
ticela, Wajne county. Ky.,
and departed this life August
21,1905. Shelias been mak-
ing her home with her daugh-
ter. Mrs. J. W. Kinsey. who
ives about five miles south-
west of Noble in the Chicka-
aw. She was left a widow
,omo twenty-four years ago.
She embraced Christ as her
Saviour at the age of 20, and
joined the Presbyterian church
and lived a devoted Christian.
She leaves three daughters,
one son, one sistor, one broth-
er and a number of relatives
and friends to mourn her de-
parture.
After services conducted by
Ivev. J. W. Rankin, the re-
mains ware laid to rest in the
cemctery south of the Mus-
grove school house. Our loss
is her eternal gain.
Fifty year3 ago Henrik Ibsen was a
clerk in a drug store.
