Bailey lodny offered a bill creating a
state of Oklahoma and Ir.dian Terri-

By thus placing the direct question of

The democratic convention for the
nomination of a city democratic ticket
was called to order this morning at the
opera house at 10:30 by Chairman
Robert J. Ray.
Mr. Ray made a few choice and ap-
propriate remarks, expresing confi-
dence in the wisdom of the convention
and the success of the ticket at the
polls. He said it would probably be
the last convention to be held while
Oklahoma remained a territory and
that all democrats would join in the
election of the ticket who ever the con-
vention seen fit to nominate.
J. A. Diff. ndaffer read the call and
M. T. Perkins of the Fourth ward, was
nominated for chairman by acclama-
tion. Mi. Perkins, in accepting the
chair; made a good democratic talk.
Jas. H. Timmons and W. F. Kerr were
chosen secretaries.
