Judging by the number of times that
much sought for individual gets in tha
toil* of the law,
Korty-five bodies had been burned
in a trench, leaving seven unaccounted
for. The charred remains of many
were recovered. In numerous
stances the belies had been badly
mutilated.
Three hundred Macabebes w ill also
be dispatched to ihe scene of the mas-
saere on board the Legaspi, which is
delayed by a typhoon.
The United States hospital ship Re-
lief will leave here tomorrow with one
battalion of the Seventh regiment, and
at Legaspi will embark a battalion of
the twenty sixth regiment, to rein-
force the troops in the island of Hamar.
The American publishes a telegram
today giving an account of the light in
which a majority of tbe men of Com-
pany C, Ninth regiment, were killed
near Dalai,giga, September 2N. The
fight was long premeditated, and the
Filipinos were called to commit the
slaughter by the ringing of church
bells at daylight. They got between
the soldiers who were breakfasting and
their quarters. The insurgents were
mostly armed with bolos, hut they had
a few rifles with them.

Otto A. Shuttee, of El Ueno, and Kred

la-t of the week for Buffalo to spend
ten days at the l'an-American exposi-

buildings and exhibits. They expect
to take notes, measurements, weights

Think Of It!
Stillwater will probably come nearer
to the point of scoring a tooch d(mn
and kicking a goal during the week be-
ginning October 15th than ever before.
N e are'not.going to allow any of the>e
lesser lights such as Guthrie with the
Elks' Carnival, Wichita with its street
fair or Perry with its Quaker Doctor
medicine shotfs, to put a quietus on
our enthusiasm or ambition. We w ill
probably come as near having every-
thing in the way of popularattractlong
here as in any place you have ever
visited. Wichita is proud of her Mid-
way and "Kachuky" girls, but we'll
not countenance them down here in
enlightened Oklahoma. Innocent
amusements will be provided and the
very best of music will lend enliven-
ment when needs be. The small boy
can buy all the "come-back" balls
confetti and toy balloons he wants
The older sister will find an abundant
supply of "Kis-me. The mother will
have an opportunity to show her
chickens, and the "old man" can brine
in a bunch of fat hogs. "
