Is Joe Bailey about to be cauerht in the same trap, Senator
Burton of Kansas was caught in.'
It is a felony for any m-mber of congress to entercede for
any client before the federal department. Did Bailey get
$225,ooo for entercedirg at Austin, for the Waters Pierce i.il

Ajndicate rule in this land, where Jeffersonkinism has been
trampled beneath the feet of coming despot and political
shysters. Commercialism has been the bane of civilivation.
In Rome Senatorial influence was to often peddled at the
expense of the people. The same practice has too long been
in v,tgue and veiled from the musses of the people in this l.uu
of herald liberty, where too many pnblic officials have became
millionaires, and too many of the toiling masses have became
paupers. Old party worship has well nich enslaved us. Lie'

Leading democrats and news papers of Texas ire condemn

WELCOMING BRYAN.
2o,ooo at Oklahoman City, and at Blrem. he was greeted by |
thousands. Even though it was a late hour at Clinton, at
three o'clock in the morning 6000 people welcomed him with
loud cheers. Many had came 75 miles to hear him. Thous-
ands welcomed him at Geary, and 8000 awaited him at Alva,
lo.ooo at Enid with 55o horsemen in line and 2o automobiles
And at Blackwell where he delivered his closing address at |
midnight thousands heard him gladly. Democrats are
stronger in Oklahoma now than they ever were. All strings
are broken off and 11 any republicans are declaring for Bryan.
At Muskogee 6000 people listened to Bryar.—train was de-
layed. Vast crowds was at Wilburton. Mr Alest?r, Vinita,
Tulsa, Pawnee, Perry. And at Guthrie he was accompanied
bv the Indian Chiefs.
