People of Norman Troop Train
This is one of the Transcript's
"Every Home in Town" issues. It is
one of the 1500 papers which we are
sending out in keeping with our prom-
ise to the merchants of Norman to
see that every home in the city re-
ceived a copy of the paper with their
advertising in it.
As always you will find the latest
news of the day in this issue of the
Transcript. Along with this you will
find the advertisements of our local
merchants telling you of the latest
"news" in the mercantile world. In
looking over one department don't
overlook the other. Both of them con-
tain items of interest—and many that
it will profit you to follow up.
Bead all of the news there is in
the Transcript—and then turn to the
ads and wherever you see an item ad-
vertised what you need, remember the
merchant that is selling it and call on
him. .
A train filled with troops passed
through Norman this afternoon, and
the following letter was thrown off.

en: Aaron McDaniel, the well known
real estate man, was suddenly strick-
en tis morning, while sitting in his
office, with something that had the
appearance of an acute attack of ap-
pendicitis. The pain was intense, so
bad that he fell from his chair in a
semi-conscious condition. He was car-
ried to his home and physicians call-
ed, who gave him medicine and opi-
ates to relieve his pain, and he is
resting easy this afternoon. It is not
yet determined whether his ailment
is appendicitis or some minor com-
plaint, but it is hoped it is the latter
and that he will soon fully recover.
