Editors, Man 13th
The Oklahoma Editorial association
will come to Norman in force on Sun-
day, May 13th, coming from their an-
nual meeting at Shawnee. It behooves
"The University City" to take care of
them in as good a shnpe as possible,
show them a good time and make
them go away with good impressions
of Norman and its people.
President Brooks, who was com-
pelled to leave for Washington today,
says:
"For the past four years we have
been trying to get the editors of the
state to visit Norman. It has finally
been arranged that they will corno by
special train on Sunday, May 13th. It
is highly important that they be prop-
erly entertained. The attitude of the
editors of the state toward the Uni-
versity is our most prolific source of
publicity and affects very materially
the attendance at the University. I
hope that the Norman business men
and citizens and University people
will give every assistance to this
movement, so that we can make at
least as favorable an impression on
these visitors as was made at Still-
water when they visited that institu-
tion."
There will be a meeting of the Nor-
man Chamber of Commerce at the
City Hall tonight (Friday) at which
this and other matters will be dis-
cussed. There should be a large at-
tendance of business men and citizens,
for it is a matter of vital importance.
The Hamiltons
Next Sunday will begin a series of
meetings at the Christian church.
Norman rarely is favored with as
strong men and women as the Hamil-
tons, and Brocks. Mr. Hamilton has
made a specialty of the evangelistic
work, and comes to Norman after
years of most successful service. His
wife also comes with special training
in evangelistic services. Mr. and, Mrs.
Brock are both trained musicians, and
will be enjoyed by all lovers of music.
These meetings will be free from
cheap, clap trap methods, and will be
conducted on the high plain of
Christian ethics.
A most cordial invitation is extend-
ed to the friends, ami especially to the
strangers of the church. The effort
being made by the Christian church
people is that they may do the whole
|community goal. Do not fail to hear
the Hamiltons and Brocks next Sun-
I day.
i On Saturday night there will be a
meeting at the church at 8 o'clock to
meet and welcome the evangelists. I)o
not fail to come if you can stay for
only a few moments. Come and meet
these workers that you may know
them on Sunday.

C. of C. Meeting
A meeting of the Norman Chamber
of Commerce will be held at the city
hall tonight (Friday) at 8 o'clock to
consider matters of importance for the
upbuilding of Norman and vicinity.
Business men and citizens not only in-
vited, but urged to attend.
A. H. VAN VLEET, President.
J. M. MOOMAU, Secretary.
—President Brooks to Washington:
President Brooks leaves Norman to-
day for Washington where he will
represent Oklahoma at a meeting of
the federal trade commission. He was
appointed a delegate to this conven-
tion some time ago by Governor
Williams. The conference will discuss
the production, manufacture and con-
servation of food products. While in
Washington President Brooks will
present the application of the univer-
sity to the war department for a regu-
lar army officer to be sent to the uni-
versity next September.
—Prof. L. B. Nice Buys: McDaniels
& Allan made sale yesterday of the
C. R. Lawrence property on Elm

ty consists of a lot 82^x275 feet, with
