pie have been turned away with the
announcement that Wichita would
certainly consider any proposition
made by the company and would lend
all necessary aid in building the line.
H. L. Kesing. of the Commercial
club, has heard of the line mentioned
a number of times, but knew nothing
further about the proposed interur-
ban.
The company has made a proposi-
tion to build one mile of track and
have cars running within six months
and give the city one per cent of the
net earnings of the concern when
operation is begun and two per cent
when the town becomes a city of
20,000 population, and three per cent
when the the population reaches the
30,000 mark.
The proposed interurban, if the
route as outlined to business men
bere'would open a new territory which
Wichita does not reach directly at
present. Until the line reached the
state line it would be run in a south-
westerly direction, thence directly
south to Enid and onto Chickasha
and Lawton. It would run eight or
ten tniies west of the Rock Inland
tracks.
