best dininq c r service in the world.
The I?ock Island is foremost in adopt-
ing any advantage calculated to im-
prove speed and give that luxury, safety
and comfort that popular patronage de-
mands. Its equipment is thoroughly
complete with vestibuled trains, mag-
nificent dining cars, sleepers and chair
coaches, all the most elegant, and of
recoutly improved patterns.
Faithful and capable management
and polite, honest service from em-
ployes are important items. They are
a double duty—to the Company and to
travelers—and it is sometimes a task
difficult of accomplishment. Passen-
gers on this line will find little cause
for complaint on that ground.
The importance of this Line can be
better understood if a short lesson in
geography be now recited.
What is the great Eastern termini of
tho Uock Island Route!1—Chicago.
What other sub-Eastern termini has
it?—Peoria. To what important points
does it run trains to the Northwest?—
St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota,
and Watertown and Sioux Falls, Da-
kota. To what important Iowa and
Nebraska points?—Des Moines, Daven-
port, Iowa; Omaha and Lincoln, Ne-
braska. ,
REMEMBER
The Groat Rock Island Route runs all
regular trains to Englewood suburban
station, close to World's Fair grounds,
and yon can save time and trouble by
getting off at that point and avoid the
crowd In the city.

Wm. Friend, W. Z. Smith and
W. L- I'pshaw purchased four lots
each, this week in Shade's addition
and will build residences in a short
time. All of these gentlemen are
good business men, and will put up
such buildings as will be a credit to
this place.
There is one thing that the busi-
ness men of Hennessey silo Id see
after and help get done, and that is
the roads in places around town.
There is some work needed done this
side of the lower bridge so the
farmers could get through that low
place with a load from the south-
west. A few places with some work
done would increase our trade by
farmers that live where they can
reach the railroad at other places
as well as to come to Hennessey.
The success of Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy in effecting a speedy
cure of colds, croup and whooping
cough has brought it into great
demand. Messrs. Pontius & Son,
of Cameron, Cliio, say that it has
gained a reputation second to none
in that vicinity, .las. M. Queen, of
I Johnston, W. Ya., say it is the best
j lie ever used. 15 F Jones,
[ druggist, Winona, Miss., says:
|'-Chamberlain's Cough Remedy is
i perfectly reliable. 1 have always
! warranted it and it never failed to
| give the most perfect satisfaction.
