The High School Play
The high school play, "Dia-
monds and Hearts" given at the
Liberty last Thursday evening
was an excellent play, and that
C ashion has talent lor such en-
tertainment was fully demon-
strated. Every one of the young
people who took part in the per-
formance did their part well.
I here were several amusing sit-
uations at different intervals of
the play, and of course the vil-
lian, a young lady who skillfully
played the part of a man, was
foiled and the ether characters
of the pluy "lived hapily ever
after."
Local Team Wins
Double-Header
In two games Sunday after-
noon Cashion won from Navina
6 to 9 and from Lockridge 9 to
10. We will not have a game
Sunday but will have a good
workout of the team in which «e
expect to develope a team with
more of a united system to it.
We have the material and will
have a system.
We have the following games
scheduled: June 15 at Piedmon',
More Rain
"Just can't quit," seems to be
the feelings of the weatherman.
He manages to give us a shower
every twenty-four ' hours. v De-
spite the heavy rainfall the roads
are in^xcellent condition except
m some low places where they
have been badly washed. W heat
is beginning to turn golden and
with a lew days of warm sun-
shine harvest will be in full blast.
Reports are that the worms have
quit the fields and with but few
exceptions have done but little
damage.
June 22 Piedmont at Cashion;
June 29 Crescent at Cashion;
and July 6 Cashion at Crescent.
Come out to our games at home
and go with us to other towns.
We have some expenses to con-
tend with so don't be tight, but
give us a handout when we ask
lor it. Ladies always admitted
free.

The end of the 1918-19 term

tutelage. In fact the term has
been quite satisfactory to prac-
tically all the patrons of the dis-
trict. The term was late in end
ing as time was made up for the
time dunng the influenza last
fall and winter.
