The Phantom.
The Phantom social at the Christian
church last night was largely attended,
^nd was au occasion of much mirth and
social enjoyment. By 9 o'clock the mys-
terious "phantoms" made their appear-
ince and were a jolly lot of ghosts. The
ladies who masked were: Miss Birch,
the Mi sew Hawkins, Misses Bert Gar-
ner. Stella Bryan. Anna Burks, Nettie
Snow. Myrtle Johnson, Wolleeon, Beard
and Seigler; the gentlemen were Messrs.
Helwig, Bryan, Ford, Fitzmorris and
Kichey. Light refreshments were served
and all had a delightful time.

"What! supper not ready yet?" ex-
claimed the emancipated wenmn. as she
threw off her overcoat, after a long day's
business.
I'm very sorry, dear," replied her
husband, "but there was a bargain sale

church have for some weeks been pre-
paring for a drama entitled ''Fruits of
his Folly." They have spared neither

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kobb. who wore
married in St. Joe, Mo., some three
weeks ago, and who have been on an ex-
tensive wedding tour through the east,
arrived last night and will remain for a
few days at the Hotel Pacilic, but will
soon go to house keeping at the corner f
of Tenth and 1) streets, where they will
be at home to their friends. We join in
hearty congratulations to him and his
handsome bride.
